I visited my aunt and uncles's house in Yokohama the other day with my husband and my daughter. It was their second time to see my daughter after birth. I hope they were happy to see my daughter crawling on the floor, though she cried when my aunt tried to hold her...
They welcomed us with delicious food!! Some western and some Japanese all made by my aunt!! Gochisousama-deshita!!(It's the phrase we say after eating food to show appreciation.)
*cracker and cheese with marmalade jam
*green salad with yuzu citron dressing
*simmered fuki-no-tou(butterbur sprouts)
*simmered young frond of zenmai(royal fern)
*boiled shrimp with Thousand Island dressing
*roast beef with gravy sauce
*sushi rice in salty-sweet cooked aburaage(deep-fried tofu)
....and strawberry pudding for dessert!!
